No, that's not a black bear, it's Freeway the dog!

Congratulations are in order for Judi Wiseman, who earned Fitcamper of the Month status by her earnest dedication to coming to class, whether it was the evening or morning.  Judi is driven to progress in her fitness.  She has been with Fitcamp for well over a year and is committed to making exercise an integral part of her life.

One of the most refreshing characteristics about Judi is her undying positive attitude.  She uplifts everybody around her.  She always knows the right things to say.

Judi is committed to exercise.  She has many friends in their prime years who can’t hold a candle to her strength, function and stamina.  Judi is keeping her attitude and vision focused and has proven herself worthy of the moniker “Fitcamper of the Month!”  She will enjoy a color consultation with TeeMcBee Image Consulting, Cleveland’s go-to resource for personal or business image consulting!

Do you know a busy mom who wants more out of her fitness?  Why not tell her about Fitcamp?

dureive This month we celebrate our first official Fitcamper of the Month: Dureive Lambert.  Dureive is the well deserved recipient of a full body massage and let me tell you why.  She faithfully came to class three days a week despite her chronic low back pain and worked through it (safely, mind you).  Dureive had always struggled with being consistent with exercise (who hasn’t?), so it was a joy to welcome her back into my life after she defeated her third bout of breast cancer.  She knows that one of the best ways to stave off cancer is to be physically active.  Dureive is driven.  Dureive is an incredible inspiration.  Dureive is the Fitcamper of the Month!

Do you know a busy Cleveland mom who wants to be fit?  Why don’t you tell her about Fitcamp for Busy Moms?!

We had a fantastic turnout for the Family Pumpkin Workout this past Saturday! Over 40 kids and parents partook of the energetic games and pumpkin exercises.

This event is the only family fitness event of its kind in all of Cleveland.  We made history, and history repeats itself as I will be orchestrating another Family Pumpkin Workout in 2010 (perhaps more than one).

The West Life News was there to report the event and bring awareness to the West Side of Cleveland that we can have fun on Halloween without consuming excess candy.

Special thanks to all the families that attended and the volunteers, who spent their Saturday morning making the TxL Family Pumpkin Workout a great success!

I had the distinctive pleasure of meeting Hagerstown, Maryland’s top 30-minute fitness expert, Chad Smith, from Home Team Fitness in Hagerstown. He and his wife, Kat, run boot camps and personal training and are making a mark in Western Maryland.  We met at the Rocco Fitness Celebrity Branding Summit in Albuquerque last month.

Besides being a husband, father and entrepreneur, Chad is a specialist at doing efficient exercises.  That said, I just had to ask him about his most recommended exercise when it comes to strengthening the “core”.

Take a look at what he has to offer in this video. If you live in the Cleveland area and want to work efficiently and safely to shred fat and build strength, then you will want to take advantage of Training by Liz Fitcamp!

To say it was an absolute blast does not do it justice. Being on Sincere Hogan’s fitness radio show, No Gym No Problem Radio, was an absolute personal and professional highlight.  Sincere himself is not only Houston’s most accomplished fitness boot camp instructor and kettlebell coach, he is also a very experienced radio DJ.

Being able to discuss freely family fitness tips and philosophies is a deep passion of mine.

Our show was such fun and Sincere always has something relevant and entertaining to say. If you have not listened to his show yet, then start playing our interview below.  Next mark your calendar for each Wednesday at 4:00 pm Eastern time to tune in live to No Gym No Problem Radio.

And, if you missed my interview with him, then be sure to watch the video below.

Donovan Owens, the Godfather of Bootcamps, from Hutto, Texas runs a smashingly successful bootcamp called the Busy Women Bootcamps.  He was at Rocco Castellano’s Fitness Celebrity Branding Summit, hence the beautiful mountains in the background.

In honor of Fitcamps “Hard-Core Strength” session this month, I wanted to get his take on one of the best exercises you can do for a tight mid-section and strong physique.  Take a look at this video and let me know how you incorporate this into your workout routine.  (At Fitcamp, we’ve been doing reverse push-ups while activating the TA muscle deep within the torso.)

Yesterday was an awesome day!  I did a fun demo for kids and adults at the Live Well Lakewood Street Walk.  It turned out to be a very big event in the city, which closed off a very large section of street so families could walk, bike or skateboard around and enjoy the fitness events.  Check out the feature video to the right for a taste of what Training By Liz did.

Also, I finally got the chance to climb a rock wall for the first time!! Although I did not make it to the top, I truly enjoyed the new challenge. Special thanks to the Army for setting up this very intense and fun activity! Check out the pics below. Do you think the city would let me have one of these in my backyard?
