Last Saturday the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA and the City of Lakewood joined forces at the annual “Meet the Trucks” Rally.  I was invited to bring fitness information for the families who attended and had a ball talking with all the people who stopped by my table.

What is “Meet the Trucks?”  It’s a parking lot full of city-owned vehicles, such as the garbage truck, street sweeper, fire trucks, etc. are open to kids and parents to sit in, beep their horns, sound their sirens and be “city workers” for a few minutes.  It happens each June on the first Saturday.

I gave away lots of flyers about my “5 Secrets to Fight Family Obesity” presentation as well as free passes to my Fitcamp for busy parents. If you’re seeing this message before my presentation, then watch this video (below) and be sure to register for my talk.  You will not only get inspiring information and free food, but you will have a crack at getting a bargain-basement price for Fitcamp.
